Carla's Passion for dance began in childhood
at the encouragement of her mother.Shortly before her 20-year career in public education ended, that passion re-surfaced and She began teaching young children worship through creative expression which included; Flags, tambourines, prophetic dance and movement at churches and symposiums for about 10 years under the name New Wine Dance Ministry.
After a five-year sabbatical, Ms. West decided to re-establish her ministry under the name
New Wine Dance Academy and Performing Arts, where she plans to pass on her legacy of passionate worship through the creative arts to the next generation. Having a special needs child has deepened her desire to expose children from all walks of life to the beauty of worship through creative expression.
“Worship… that’s what we do!” is her motto and worship is exactly what she does.

Sophia is a energetic,dedicated, passionate youth pastor of many years. She also teaches fitness classes, dance, flags, shofar,with an emphasis in bringing youth together in unity to serve God. She gives personal attention to students encouraging to embrace their identity, spiritual growth in God. Our academy is blessed to have her onboard with us, and look forward to the new ideas she has for our students.
